Apple Inc will launch a new iPhone tailored forChinese consumers, media reports said on Monday. The new phone will remove Face ID, thefacial recognition systemfor the iPhone, and instead employ an under-display fingerprint function, news site caijing.com.cn reported, citing sources on theupstreamindustry supply chain.

Apple has attached great importance tothe Chinese market but has been under continuous cost pressure amid the China-US trade war, industry insiders said.
